"NAMR eDNA Search Platform" introduce

NAMR established the "NAMR eDNA Search Platform" in 2013, which provides NAMR's historical eDNA survey results, sequence comparison of the "Taiwan Fish 12S Sequence Database" produced by NAMR, and Taiwan fish species query functions.

Vertical current profile in time series and bottom material particle size data display

The video introduces the time series water current velocity graphs of the Green Island Ocean Current Demonstration Site, and the display of the coast line, particle size changes and water depth topography of Caisancho Island in different periods.

Rose chart and bar chart display

Besides from the original line chart, observation data such as wind, wave, and current are available in rose charts, and water quality data are available in bar charts. The original data and image are also available for download.

Vector maps display

NODASS collects map and spatial information related to the field of ocean research from various units, and establishes metadata according to the National standard. These maps and areas can be displayed and by clicking on the map to show its attribute information.

Satellite derived products - Sentinel 2 image overlay chlorophyll concentration

NODASS has collected various remote sensing satellite products, and published at the highest resolution images. Currently, the system has integrated images such as GOCI, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3, Landsat and SPOT. After selecting the satellite category and date, you can view the back calculation results of chlorophyll a or total suspended solids concentration of the satellite image derived products for further observations. The concentration of chlorophyll a and total suspended solids around the area changes with time and spatial distribution. Various satellite products can also be used to comparer differences in sea areas, seasons, typhoon events, radar detection of ships, etc., providing users multiple applications to use.

Display and application of observation data

NODASS collects observation data from various sectors. The data can be search by station type or by data providing sources, and users can view the observation data in time series graphs. Date selection and station comparison are also provided for easy information access.

Ocean numerical models

The NODASS system currently includes domestic and international oceanographic and weather models such as wind, wave, current, sea temperature, sea level height, salinity, and water quality, from HYCOM, OCM, and CMEMS etc. Different ocean models can be switched at any time, and can be viewed dynamically on a timeline with a calendar. For some models available in depth, the depth display bar can be adjusted to view water profiles.
