Single-point Numerical Data Query

The international ocean model HYCOM has added a "Single-point Numerical Query" function for ocean currents, sea temperature, sea level, and salinity. This tutorial video uses HYCOM ocean currents and sea temperature as examples, demonstrating how to search for numerical values of model data at specified locations in both "time series" and "vertical profiles." Users can also use the window to re-search for the desired time, latitude, and longitude, and select the depth at the lower right corner of the platform. By logging in as a member, users can directly download data files and images.

NODASS Biological Survey Search New Features

In 2023, NODASS has undergone interface and functional upgrades for the "Biological Survey Data Search" feature, located under the "Observation" and "Products" tab. Upon clicking, a pop-up window for biological data search appears, introducing new multifaceted search functions such as "Conditional Search," "Taxonomic Hierarchy," and "Species Query." Search criteria include the data provider, dataset name, project year, project title, biological classification, and temporal and spatial ranges. The search results list now includes keyword search and list filtering functions, along with the option to download search results in CSV format.

Biological Data Classification Inquiry

All data in NODASS is normalized based on the OGC or Darwin Core dataset standards. The system consolidates value-added data into a spatial database, presenting cartographic information through a spatial information platform according to user preferences and thematic categories. It also provides diverse biological query functions, including keyword search, map-based query, species-specific inquiry, and hierarchical tree-based inquiry. These functions encompass both "Image-based Search" and "Text-based Search," allowing users to easily and quickly retrieve relevant information such as biological descriptions, images, and distribution locations.

Map Search_Keyword Query

NODASS collects basic map layers from various domestic and international units. All data is normalized according to the OGC or Darwin Core dataset standards. The system consolidates the value-added data into a spatial database and provides diverse ways to query maps. Users can utilize the system's map search function, inputting keywords for a quick search to find the desired map data. The results are then presented through the spatial information platform.

Temporal and Spatial Search

All data in NODASS is normalized based on the OGC or Darwin Core dataset standards. The system consolidates the value-added data into a spatial database and presents cartographic information through a spatial information platform based on user preferences and thematic categories. It provides users with the ability to quickly search for map data by specifying temporal and spatial conditions.
